Africano Festival was launched in 2015 for the development and sustainability of the National Policy on Immigration and Asylum (NPIA). The policy was launched in September 2013 under the instructions of King Mohammed VI with the intention to protect refugees living in the country.
“Morocco is a country of openness and tolerance that encourages cultural plurality, the dialogue of civilizations, creativity and artistic production,” the organisers said.
The festival aims to integrate Africans into the Moroccan society by highlighting African music and for musicians in Morocco to showcase their diverse cultural music. The festival also seeks to create opportunities for local artists to network and create partnerships.
The application deadline is 30 September.
